Scope

This policy applies to the Skreenie parent app (including our web dashboard), the Skreenie Kids app, and the website at skreenie.web.app. It does not cover third-party services you access through Skreenie, such as YouTube, which have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

• Parent account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile details associated with your account (such as your name and email address) to create and manage your family account.
• Child profile information: You may create profiles for your children, including a display name or nickname and age. The Kids app uses a profile picker — children do not create accounts with email addresses or passwords.
• Content you add: YouTube channel, playlist, and video links that you approve for your children's library.
• Usage and activity data: Watch history, viewing duration, questions answered, games played, and related activity shown in the parent dashboard (such as weekly watch time and activity summaries).
• Device and technical data: Device type, operating system, app version, language, and diagnostic logs needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the parent and Kids apps, including curated video libraries, watch-along questions, games, conversation starters, and parent dashboard features.
• Sync family settings and content across devices when you or a co-parent uses the service.
• Personalize the experience for each child profile based on age and activity.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Improve and develop our products through aggregated or de-identified analytics.

Skreenie does not serve advertising to children, and we do not use children's information for targeted advertising.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these circumstances:

• Service providers: Trusted vendors who help us host infrastructure, authenticate users, store data, and operate the apps — bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and use it only for our instructions.
• Co-parents you invite: Family members you explicitly invite can access the same family account data you manage.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the public.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required by law.

Children's privacy

Skreenie is designed for families with young children. We comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where it applies.

• Parents control the account: Only a parent or legal guardian creates and manages the family account.
• Limited child data: We collect only the child profile and activity information needed to provide the service — not email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords from children.
• No child-directed advertising: We do not display ads in the Kids app or use children's data for advertising purposes.
• Parental rights: Parents may review, update, or delete their child's profile and associated activity data by contacting us or through account settings where available.

If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate parental consent, please contact us and we will promptly take steps to delete it.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain certain information after account deletion where required by law, to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for legitimate business purposes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

You may delete your account through the app where available, or by emailing contact@skreenie.app. Deleting your account will remove associated family and child profile data, subject to legal retention requirements.

International users

9K Analytics ApS is based in Denmark. If you use Skreenie from outside Denmark, your information may be transferred to and processed in Denmark and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
