Delete your account
how to remove your account and all associated data
Effective date: August 26, 2026
You can delete your Skreenie account and all associated data at any time, either from inside the parent app or by writing to us. This page explains both routes and exactly what is removed.
Delete from inside the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
- Open the Skreenie parent app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
If you signed in with Apple, the app also asks Apple to revoke its access to your Apple ID as part of the deletion. You may see the Apple sign-in sheet once more during this step — that is expected, and it is what completes the revocation.
The Kids app has no separate account. Deleting your parent account removes the family it belongs to, including every child profile within it, so there is nothing to delete separately in the Kids app.
What gets deleted
If you are the only administrator of your family, everything belonging to that family is permanently removed:
- Your parent account and sign-in credentials
- Every child profile you created, including names and avatars
- Your curated library — saved channels, playlists, and videos
- All watch history, viewing sessions, and activity data
- Any pending co-administrator invitations you sent
If another administrator shares your family, your own account and sign-in credentials are removed and you lose access to the family. The family itself — its child profiles, curated library, and activity history — remains with the other administrator, because that data belongs to them as well as to you. To remove the family entirely, ask the remaining administrator to delete their account too.
If you no longer have the app installed
You do not need to reinstall Skreenie to delete your account. Email contact@skreenie.app with the subject "Account deletion request" and we will do it for you.
Please send the request from the email address you used to sign in, so that we can confirm the account is yours. We do not need any other information, and we will never ask you for a password.
We action requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We will confirm by email once the deletion is complete.
What happens to your data afterwards
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your data is removed we cannot restore your child profiles, your curated library, or your activity history, so please note anything you want to keep beforehand.
Skreenie keeps a cache of information about YouTube videos — titles, channel names, and generated discussion prompts — that is shared across all families and keyed only by the YouTube video identifier. It is derived entirely from publicly available video details, contains no personal information about you or your children, and is not linked to your account. It is therefore not affected by account deletion.
We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself where we are required to do so by law.
